ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome in this place, إلياس. I'm glad you like these sketches.
ReplyDeleteJanas, these are great. I always look forward to a new post. Have you ever leafed through Pantheon's Arab Folktales- edited by Inea Bushnaq, 1986? It is very well done and has beautiful b/w designs throughout. Thanks for the images and best regards.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, dear Josh! Thanks for the comment. I haven't had the pleasure to read this book and view its illustrations. I looked on the web, looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Janas.
Hello, Janas. This are beautiful. I love the blue elephants. Thanks for posting. Must thank you also for all the posting you've done in skafunkrastapunk, its been illuminating. There's one album in particular i was looking for and the link was broken. Its "Marcel Cellier Presents Mysterious Albania". If you could please link it to me, i would be very grateful.
ReplyDeleteThaanks again for all.
Cheers.
José

ReplyDeleteHi Janas,
ReplyDeleteThese illustrations for the alf leila wa leila are most exquisite. I have just started to work on a reissue of a Swedish, unfortunately abbreviated, (I don't know how many nights are lost :-) translation of this work. This was good inspiration. Thank you very much. I hope all is well at your end.
Hello dear Bolingo, sorry for the late reply, I am glad that you have been inspired by these artworks.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're well.
Greetings,
Janas.
